Didn’t try with milk in the pasta cooking but it could’ve used a bit more liquid. 
Would like to try with a protein — beans? Greens? Veg sausage ?

Pasta with a creamy sauce for a quick and delicious dish.

Creamy Cajun Pasta

water

veg stock

whatever pasta

butter

10 oz package mushrooms

large bell pepper

all-purpose flour

Cajun seasoning

salt

pepper (or more)

milk

chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

topping cheese (cheddar, parm, motz, whatever)

Combine water, broth and 1 cup milk in a large pot, bring to boil and add pasta. If using unsalted veg stock add salt. 

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and pepper to pan; sauté until moisture evaporates and veg are desired doneness. 

Add flour, Cajun seasoning, salt & pepper to pan; sauté a bit more to cook the flour then stir in 1/2 cup milk; cook and stir until flour bits are combined. 

Remove from heat. Add to pasta mixture and toss. Serve and top with parsley
