Teriyaki Tofoo with Sticky Sauce

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Cubed Teriyaki Tofoo
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red chilli (sliced)
  • 150 g mangetout
  • Rice for 2
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds

For the marinade

  • 50 ml dark soy sauce
  • 80 ml water
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 20 g fresh ginger (peeled and grated)
  • 2 cloves garlic (peeled and grated)
  • 1 tbsp cornflour

Instructions

Stir together all marinade ingredients.

Add the Tofoo and marinate for 5-10 mins.

Start to cook your rice.

Heat a frying pan and add the oil.

Add the chilli and fry until softened.

Add the Tofoo and marinade to the pan and stir fry, mixing well. Cook for 5 mins until the Tofoo is warmed through and the sauce is thickened.

Add the mangetout, stir and cook for a few minutes so it is still crunchy.

Serve with rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
