- 1/2 c unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1/2 c granulated sugar
- 1/4 c packed light or dark brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1/2 c sour cream
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 c all-purpose flour (spoon & leveled)
- 3 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- 2 tbsp milk (any kind)
- 1 1/2 c cranberries
- 1 c walnuts, coarsely chopped

Preheat oven to 450°F . Spray a 12-count muffin pan with nonstick spray. Set aside.

Beat the butter on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 1 minute. Add the granulated and brown sugars and beat on high until creamed, about 2 full minutes. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed.
In another bowl, beat the eggs until bubbly. Add the sour cream, and vanilla extract. Add the milk and orange juice. Beat on medium speed for 1 minute, mixture should be unifrom and frothy.
Combine the egg mixture with the butter mixture, and beat on high speed until the mixture is combined and uniform in texture. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed. Then, beat in the orange zest until combined.
In a large bowl, toss together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Pour the drry ingredients into the wet ingredients and slowly mix with a spoon.
Fold in the cranberries and walnuts with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula.

Spoon batter into prepared muffin pan, filling them all the way to the top.
Bake for 5 minutes at 425°F , then keeping the muffins in the oven, lower the oven temperature to 350°F and bake for 18-20 more minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
