Italian Sausage Pepper Sandwich

Designed to be quick and simple, this is a tasty dinner recipe that can be thrown together quickly and doesn't take a long time even if you double or triple the recipe size. Great for when you don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb italian sausage links
  • 1 red pepper sliced
  • 1 green pepper sliced
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 4 bread rolls
  • salt and pepper
  • red pepper flakes
  • 1 clove garlic diced
  • 1 spoonful mayonnaise

Instructions

Fire up the stove

Place two medium on the stove. Add 1 tbsp vegetable oil to one pan. Turn both up to medium heat.

Place sausage links in the un-oiled pan. Cover to reduce splatter.

Coarsly chop peppers and onion. Place in oiled pan. Turn up to medium-high heat.

Cook sausage, turning frequently, until no pink remains in the center.

Cook vegetables until outsides are charred and pieces are soft.

Slice buns, start toasting.

Remove sausage and vegetables from heat. Add salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to vegetables. Toss well.

Chop sausages in 1/4" diagonal slices

Spread thin layer of mayonnaise on bread, stack sausage, onions, peppers.
