Ingredients

  • 6 c flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c warm water
  • 3 canned sour pitted cherries drained

Instructions

Make small mound of flour. In center, place eggs and salt.

Mix flour towards center until mixed a little.

Slowly add water while mixing.

Knead dough for 10 minutes (adding flour if needed).

Cover dough with clean dry cloth for 20 minutes.

Divide dough into 4 parts and roll very thin, 1 part at a time.

Cut with old fashion glass

Fill with 3 cherries. Fold over and pinch shut.

Boil, and when they rise, boil for 3 more minutes.

Serve with melted butter and sweetened sour cream.
